PER DIEM WORKS, INC. OFFERS ASSISTANCE FOR ATTORNEYS DIRECTLY IMPACTED BY THE SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 WTC ATTACKS.
Per Diem Works, Inc., a legal services company that provides attorney services to assist firms with motions, court appearances, trial preparation and related aspects of litigation, has initiated an Attorney Relief Program to help attorneys who were directly affected by the World Trade Center attacks, a spokesperson for the company stated yesterday.
According to a publicist for Per Diem Works, Inc., the company will offer some of its services for free and other services at a sharply reduced rate, for those New York firms that have been displaced from their offices, have lost staff or have otherwise been directly impacted in the wake of the World Trade Center tragedy. This offer includes assistance on motions, appeals, court appearances, depositions, trial preparation, and other litigation support, at a fraction of the corporation's normal fees.
Eric Sarver, Esq., the President of Per Diem Works, Inc., issued the following statement with regard to this new initiative:
“As attorneys, we all share one trait in common. Ultimately, we try to help people - our clients - in resolving their problems. In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, there are now thousands of new people who face a dire need for attorneys' services. However, this call for help from the legal community can be challenging, when the very people who provide legal assistance are currently the ones in need of it.”
To determine eligibility for the above relief effort, attorneys can contact Per Diem Works, Inc. by e-mail, at attorney@perdiemworks.com. Phone calls can be made to (718) 267-7779 or to (917) 750-6765. Gratis consultations can be set up at that point, if so desired.
The company's website, www.perdiemworks.com, also includes a link to various relief funds. These funds include the “New York Fire Fighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund,” the “Kiwanis International 911 Victims Children's Fund,” and the “Employee Funds of Affected Businesses.” Attorneys can click on the red white and blue ribbon on the homepage of the company's website, to donate to such on-line relief efforts.
The goal of Per Diem Works, Inc.'s relief effort was summarized by the company's president as follows: “We at Per Diem Works, Inc. are optimistic that this program will help attorneys to bounce back – to have their practices and their lives as close to a sense of normalcy as possible. Thereafter, they can in turn help other New Yorkers, who are trying to get their lives in order again.”
